So...I really need to get better at updating...

Here we are, mid-nine weeks...and I've only posted pictures of my classroom! There is so much to talk about and I don't even know where to start!

I decided to do some basics before getting the kids started in the Choice Centers this time around. I thought maybe it would help them when they begin creating. Now all they want to know is 'when do we get to do the Art Centers again?' Poor kids, so mistreated! I seem to be a little better off this time around when it comes to coming up with lesson plans. I'm really not entirely sure why. I know I've gotten a couple of ideas from my fellow Art teachers in my building. (Thank you!) As far as the basics go...I hope I remember to remind them when they get back to the Choice Centers later! I wish I could walk around and observe someone else's TAB classroom! I've seen a lot of chatter about menus, but I can never really figure out what they mean. I really should ask. haha

This year I am using a free online portfolio from Artsonia for my students. I have had really positive feedback from parents, as well as a lot of volunteers to help me photograph and post the artwork. I just need to get my students producing some good, finished artwork to post! All of the work I have been doing towards that has gotten me thinking that I should definitely have an online portfolio of my own. I am currently working on a piece (for myself, haha) that I will definitely post. I do such a variety of things when I actually do them that I'm not sure when to start posting. (Or where.)

I know most of this is random right now, I hope to have later posts that flow a little better. I am blocked from blogspot at school, so I can't update when it is fresh on my mind. I will have to start writing in word and posting it when I get home!
